- Description and size: Endemic in the Adriatic river basin, it can grow to 140 cm and weighs up to 24 kg.
- Location: All waters.
- Open season: 1.4.–30.9.
- Minimum size: 60 cm
Grayling (Thymallus thymallus)
- Description and size: An indigenous salmonid, this fish can grow to 60 cm and weighs up to 2 kg.
- Location: Soča (downstream from Mala korita), Koritnica (downstream from Kluže), mouth of the Učja.
- Open season: 16.5.–31.10.
- Minimum size: 45 cm
Brown trout (Salmo trutta fario)
- Description and size: This non-indigenous trout breeds successfully with the marble trout; it can grow to 70 cm and weighs up to 6 kg.
- Location: Lives in all waters apart from five locations with pure marble trout.
- Open season: 1.4.–31.10.
- Minimum size: 26 cm
Marble trout and brown trout hybrids
- Description and size: The appearance of these fish varies; they can grow to 1 m and weigh up to 10 kg.
- Location: Locations with the marble trout and brown trout.
- Open season: 1.4.–31.10.
- Minimum size: 26 cm
Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)
- Description and size: Released into rivers from fish farms; it can grow to 80 cm and weighs up to 8 kg.
- Location: Soča (downstream from Mala korita), Koritnica (downstream from Kluže), mouth of the Učja.
- Open season: 1.4.–31.10.
- Minimum size: 24 cm
