Welcome to Hell Tour – for those who don’t consider cycling if there isn’t a mountain to climb

TerraCycling tours are for crazy bike, food and wine lovers. For those who want to pedal from 60 to 100 km per day on non-traffic roads, who want to discover new wonderful places on earth, make a toast after a ride with a precious glass of Rebula at a small boutique winery and enjoy the delicious food in selective restaurants.

The Alpine Climb – Welcome to hell Tour is for those who don’t consider cycling if there isn’t a mountain to climb. Jure and Jurij, the Terracycling Guys and founders of TerraCycling, have selected for you the most spectacular climbs where you will need several time to step on your pedal to come up the mountain. Besides some spectacular rides in Slovenia (Vrsic, Kolovrat), Monte Zoncolan, the well-known “Inferno” Mountain as the Italian called it at the giro d’Italia, will await for you for one of the hardest climbs you’ve ever had before…

KEY INFORMATION

Equipment you should bring: You will receive your TerraCycling suit (jersey, pants, arm and leg warmers, socks, bidons) and a carbon frame road bike on rental. A daily laundry will be arranged for you. You will need cycling shoes, pedals, helmet and gloves.
Number of participants: Min 4 or reduced number by prior arrangement
Meeting point: Trieste Airport (pick up included in price)
Reservation: Advance booking is required – we recommend a min 8 weeks notice
Availability: Early spring to late autumn

Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL

Arrival in the morning/afternoon with pickup from Trieste airport and transfer to the beautiful wine region of Goriska Brda.
Optionally, we can arrange transfer from Venice or Ljubljana airport (or any other close airports);
Welcome drink and appetiser with a glass of locally produced biological wine
Warm up ride in the afternoon with coffee break at Formentini Castle
Aperitivo with a glass of wine

DAY 2: 60KM RIDE

Nutritional breakfast
Ride through Slovenian Goriska brda and Italian Collio with the climb to Korada; 60km & 900hm total vertical climb

Wine degustation in the afternoon in local wine cellar

Ride from Goriska brda to Caporetto with astonishing views; 62km & 1480hm
