On this one week trip you will discover the very western part of Slovenia. Including barbeques, water games, river swimming and picnic lunches your trip will test your skills with a variety of outdoor experiences whilst providing you with plenty of time for relaxation along the way...
This holiday provides an ideal mixture of land and water based activities will enable you to experience this remarkable part of Europe at its best. One of the highlights of this trip is getting to know the Julian Alps which have many interesting attributes.
Firstly, the mountains have a unique structure of flora and fauna, not to mention amazing views of the Adriatic Sea, Italian lowlands and half of Slovenia.
The second fascinating thing about this region is its history - this is the location of some of the biggest and bloodiest battles in WW1 and you can experience what it would have been like on the front line by visiting some well preserved bunkers and other museum facilities. There are still many leftovers scattered around that serve to remind you of the scale of horror that took place 90 years ago and visiting these sites offer an interesting cultural twist on this outdoor activity holiday.

Tolmin is the town we are based in. It's a small destination just on the outskirts of the Alps with around 4000 people, and it will provide you with all the services you need including a daily market with home made farm products.
Our accommodation is either Pension Kobala, which is ideally situated close to Tolmin in the picturesque village of Poljubinj, with a range of comfortably sized bedrooms. You will stay here on a half-board basis where you can enjoy the variety of meals and home made products at the restaurant and relax on the spacious terrace where you can enjoy late afternoon views over the Alps.
The other accommodation option is to stay in some privately owned self-catering apartments which are situated in a pleasant region of Tolmin town.
It has a variety of meals and home made products to enjoy at the bar which you shouldn't miss out on and you can enjoy late afternoon views over the Alps by relaxing on the spacious covered terrace.
